Needle mesotherapy in Wrocław: hydration, radiance, dark circles
Mesotherapy in Wrocław is a series of shallow injections through which we deliver into the skin a cocktail of hyaluronic acid, vitamins and amino acids (Croma products) or the patient’s own platelet-rich plasma. Face, eye area, neck and décolletage from 600 PLN, plasma 900 PLN, Freshlift 1000 PLN. The treatment is performed by a dermatologist. It is a treatment for dull, dehydrated, tired skin and fine lines, not for volume or deep folds.
Needle mesotherapy, plasma, skin boosters and microneedling: how they differ
The word “mesotherapy” is used online for several different treatments. They differ in what goes into the skin and how deep, and therefore in effect, price and healing time. Before comparing price lists, it is worth checking what a given clinic actually means.
A cocktail of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid, vitamins, amino acids and minerals, injected with a needle into dozens of points, superficially, about 1 cm apart. It hydrates, improves tone and firmness and smooths fine lines. Face, eye area, neck, décolletage from 600 PLN.
Results after a series of 3–4 treatments every 2–4 weeks, lasting 4–6 months.
We take 10–20 ml of blood, centrifuge it and inject the fraction rich in platelets and growth factors back into the skin. Nothing foreign, so no risk of allergy. Good for the under-eye area, tired skin and after the age of 40. 900 PLN.
A series of 3 treatments every 4 weeks, then 1–2 times a year.
Denser, longer-acting hyaluronic acid injected at a few points (Profhilo 1600 PLN) or as fine hydrating threads (Freshlift 1000 PLN). Fewer injections, fewer marks, more firmness than hydration. More: skin boosters.
2 treatments one month apart, effect for up to 6 months.
A device with a needle cartridge creates thousands of micro-injuries without injecting any product. Aim: acne scars, stretch marks, texture. It is a different treatment from mesotherapy, and for scars at HappyDERM we more often choose fractional laser.
Not to be confused with RF microneedling, which heats the skin and has a different risk profile.
Who mesotherapy makes sense for
We most often see women over thirty whose skin has “lost its glow”: it is dull, dry, with fine lines on the cheeks and under the eyes, and does not hold make-up well. The second group are people after summer and sunbeds, with dry skin on the décolletage. The third are smokers and people after significant weight loss whose skin has lost density.
Dehydrated, dull skin
The best indication. Hyaluronic acid binds water in the dermis; after 2–3 sessions the complexion regains a radiance and smoothness visible without make-up.
Dark circles and fine lines under the eyes
The skin under the eyes is thin and does not tolerate fillers well. Mesotherapy and plasma thicken it and lighten shadows caused by visible blood vessels. It works less well on pigment-related dark circles.
Neck and décolletage
Horizontal neck lines and a “network” of wrinkles on the décolletage after sun exposure. Here mesotherapy works better than fillers, because the problem lies in skin quality, not in volume loss.
Skin after winter, illness or stress
A “reset” treatment once a season for people who do not want botox or fillers but can see that their skin looks worse than a year ago.
Eligibility: what we check before treatment
Mesotherapy involves dozens of injections, so any skin disease in the treated area and any tendency to poor healing matters. We examine the skin under a lamp and ask about medicines, allergies and previous treatments. If everything is in order, we perform the treatment at the first visit.
We postpone treatment in case of
Active cold sores or skin infection, a flare of acne or rosacea in the treated area, pregnancy and breastfeeding, ongoing antibiotic treatment, a fresh tan, isotretinoin within the last 6 months, a tendency to keloids, uncontrolled diabetes, immunosuppressive medicines.
Please tell us about
Blood thinners and aspirin (more bruising, not a contraindication), allergies to medicines and cosmetics, previous fillers in the area, recurrent cold sores (you will receive preventive medication), planned sun exposure, travel or an event within a week.
What a mesotherapy treatment looks like
1. Photos and anaesthesia
Make-up removal, photos in consistent lighting, anaesthetic cream for 20–30 minutes. For plasma treatment, we take and centrifuge the blood during this time.
2. Injections
The product is injected with a fine needle, superficially, in a grid of points about a centimetre apart. The face takes 80–150 injections, over a dozen or so minutes. There is a stinging sensation, strongest under the eyes.
3. Immediately after
The skin is red, with small bumps at the injection sites that are absorbed within a few hours. We cool the skin and apply a regenerating cream. Make-up can be worn from the next day.
4. Follow-up
We plan the next session after 2–4 weeks, having assessed how the skin has responded. We compare photos after the whole series, not after the first treatment.
How many treatments and how often
After a single treatment the skin stays hydrated for 2–3 weeks, and that is all. A series gives a longer-lasting effect, because hyaluronic acid and growth factors stimulate fibroblasts only when the stimulus is repeated. As standard:
Croma mesotherapy: 3–4 sessions
Every 2–4 weeks, then 1 treatment every 3–4 months. For the neck and décolletage usually 4 sessions, as the skin there is thinner and responds more slowly.
Plasma: 3 sessions
Every 4 weeks. The effect builds up for 2–3 months after the last session, as growth factors act slowly. Maintenance 1–2 times a year.
When we stop
When, after the series, the skin looks the way it was meant to. We do not sell “6 treatments for the price of 5” packages, because after the third it may turn out that the fourth is unnecessary or that a different treatment would be better.
How the skin looks after treatment and how to care for it
On the first day, redness and small bumps at the injection sites; on the second day, occasional bruises, mainly under the eyes; up to the third day, small scabs at the injection sites. After a week there is no trace. We advise against scheduling the treatment the day before a photo shoot or a wedding; a week before is fine.
For the first 24–48 hours
Please do not touch your face with unwashed hands or apply make-up, and avoid intensive exercise, saunas, swimming pools and sunbeds. Wash the skin with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser and apply only the cream you received from us. No retinoids, acids or vitamin C for 3–5 days.
Sun
SPF 50 sunscreen for 2 weeks, even on a cloudy day. Needled skin is more prone to pigmentation. We do perform mesotherapy in summer, but not a week before a seaside holiday.
Possible side effects and when to call
Typical, resolve on their own
Redness for up to 24 hours, bruises for up to a week (most often under the eyes), bumps at the injection sites for a few hours, slight swelling, a feeling of tightness and dryness for 1–2 days.
Rare
An allergic reaction to an ingredient of the cocktail (which is why we ask about allergies), recurrence of cold sores (which is why we give preventive treatment), post-inflammatory pigmentation after sun exposure, infection with poor aftercare. With plasma there is no risk of allergy, as it is the patient’s own blood.
Please call us if
After the second day the redness, swelling and pain increase, pus or fever appears, cold sore blisters or an itchy rash develop in the treated area, or anything else worries you. It is better to call unnecessarily than too late.
Mesotherapy in Wrocław: what patients ask
Does mesotherapy hurt?
After anaesthetic cream, the injections feel like small pinches. Most noticeable under the eyes and on the neck, least on the cheeks. The treatment lasts a dozen or so minutes, so it is easy to tolerate.
Mesotherapy or skin booster: which to choose?
Mesotherapy means more injections and more marks, but stronger hydration and a broader composition (vitamins, amino acids). A skin booster means a few injections, almost no marks, less hydration but better firmness. For very dry skin, mesotherapy; for laxity, a skin booster. We often alternate the two.
When are results visible?
Hydration and radiance 3–5 days after the first treatment, once the marks have faded. The full effect of the series 2–4 weeks after the last session, and with plasma even later, after 2–3 months.
Can I have mesotherapy in summer?
Yes, but with SPF 50 sunscreen for 2 weeks after treatment and without tanning. We do not perform it a week before a sunny holiday or on freshly tanned skin.
Can mesotherapy be combined with botox or fillers?
Yes, but not on the same day in the same area. Usually botox first, then mesotherapy after 2 weeks; filler and mesotherapy 2–4 weeks apart. We agree the plan at the consultation.
How much does it cost?
Croma mesotherapy of the face, eye area, neck or décolletage from 600 PLN per treatment, platelet-rich plasma 900 PLN, Freshlift 1000 PLN. A consultation alone, without treatment, is priced as a medical visit, 280–350 PLN. Current prices are in the price list.
